Oku-show Born in Nara, 1981, Japan. Oku-show is interested in life's opposites which can exist in harmony, or not; such as the beautiful and the ugly, the past and the present, “civilized” man kind and “uncivilized” nature. He wants this theme in his work to raise questions for the viewer. To accomplish this he focuses on contrasts: value shifts between black and white with a varying grays; and sometimes color; clear and un clear edges. He likes to use my original stencil technique with graphite, because it makes the borders uncertain and it creates beautiful way of overlapping different grays in layers; then on top of those shadow images, He does his drawing including texture and pattern.
